The city that inspired me to this work is a fairy but quite real Rothenburg ob der Tauber, in German Bavaria. I was lucky to be there in December, on Christmas Advent, and I had the full feeling that I was in one of Ernst Hoffmann’s fairy tales. I wanted to transmit that feeling of evening twilight, when the townspeople have already lit the light in the houses, ignited the fires in their fireplaces and enjoy the comfort of home on a cold winter evening.
